I have also taught History of Ancient Philosophy, History of Modern Philosophy, a 1st year seminar on the History of Skepticism, a seminar on David Hume, and a senior seminar on Experimental Philosophy. I've taught seminars in Environmental Studies on the topics of Wilderness, Animal Ethics, Ecosystem Health, and Environmental Aesthetics.
In 2007, I received Connecticut College's John S. King Memorial Award for Excellence in Teaching.
A short essay on teaching critical thinking. This includes a description of the "dialogue paper" assignment that I use in nearly every class.
